A lot of good ideas start with a bit of disappointment.
My wife ordered a custom doormat online. When it arrived, it looked nothing like the photos. It wasn’t even a real coir doormat! Just a thin printed mat that honestly looked like s%#t.
As you can see for yourself, it looked cheap, the quality was crap, and I just knew there had to be a better way.
That moment became the start of Muddy Feet. A family-run brand built around quality coir materials, beautiful hand-painted designs, and doormats that last.

Each Muddy Feet doormat goes through six real steps, each one done with care so you love your new doormat just as much as we love making it.
I use professional designing software that turns any logo or design into something that can be hand painted. No matter the detail.
Once the design is ready, it is cut using a commercial Mutoh vinyl cutter, allowing me to create stencils for mats of all sizes. From standard home mats to large commercial entrances.
The stencil is then heat-pressed onto the mat using a Cricut EasyPress, ensuring perfect adhesion and preventing paint bleed.
The mat is painted using a specialised rubber-based spray that bonds deep into the coir fibres, resulting in the longest lasting coir doormats on the market.
After painting, the mat rests for 12–24 hours before the stencil is removed. Once removed, every mat is treated with a fibre sealing treatment which helps reduce excessive shedding.
The mat then cures for another 24 hours before packaging. The entire process takes a few days, but we’ve refined the process to deliver our custom mats within 5 business days.
